My nephew has Down Syndrome. In the past couple of years, I have been educated on what it means to have Down. Its been quite an experience.

One of the places that had helped with that education is Gigi’s Playhouse. They’re a national organization that provides support and education for people with Down Syndrome and their families. I wanted to volunteer to help in any way that I can. I've volunteered to be the photographer for some of their events. And I recently offered to help make a commercial for their upcoming event, their Second Annual Lagniappe Gala. Proceeds from the event will go towards helping them continue to provide for people with Down.

Adam "Buck" Santino is a New Orleans-based writer, photographer, and storyteller. He has two books available on Amazon — a memoir about his time working at Walt Disney World and an anthology of short fiction. His photography ranges from street work and portraits to documentary subjects, with a particular focus on place and memory.
