No, You Don’t Need F-15s to Fight the Government

So yesterday, President Joe Biden gave a press conference about cracking down on gun violence. In discussing the Second Amendment to the Constitution, he addressed the idea that free men have to right to bear arms against an oppressive government.
Essentially, the sitting President of the United Stated said we the People would need F-15 Fighter jets and nuclear weapons to stand against the United States Government.
If Joe Biden weren't struggling with dementia, I would take this as a tacit threat. Yes, the US Government has jets, tanks, weapons and bombs of all sizes. It really doesn't matter. President Biden's position is one that I have heard before from anti-gun activists and other people who don't know anything about warfare.
First of all, lets be clear that no rational person wants to fight a civil war. Gun enthusiasts and patriots aren't sitting around polishing their pistols, waiting for the revolution to start. That said, we will not lay down our weapons. Historically when governments take away the guns of their citizens, tyranny and death are the end results. And with the illiberal, Marxist Left making our nation weaker and less free, we cannot waver on our rights and the importance of the Constitution they are attempting to undermine. Especially since it is in fact the Left who is constantly speaking in terms of revolution. How many cities were burning throughout 2020 whilst the Democrats turned a blind eye and pretended it wasn't happening.
Now, addressing the President's comments. If a civil war were to occur, it is absolutely insane to think that fighter jets- let alone NUCLEAR WARHEADS would be involved. Again, the President isn't particularly sharp. The US government hasn't used a nuke since Nagasaki, more than 70 years ago. Even in the case of insurrection, only an absolute loon would consider nuking our own country. There is no benefit there.
In an age wherein communication is easily accessible, it is unlikely that the entire US military would agree to bomb cities full of their countrymen. Some might. But it would inevitably be divided. And considering every state has military bases, this would be a problem for the government. Contrary to what the President believes (and sort of contrary to the title of this piece), a resistance would probably have access to F-15s or some other kind of fighter planes.
That said, it isn't clear what form the war would take. It is very possible, or even likely that guerilla warfare would be involved. Ordinary people in smaller cells would hit targets and disappear, unless taking a major target, like a state capitol or military installation for example.
The use of drones in modern warfare does complicate things. Of course, since the government doesn't control resources or means of production-- something socialists are ultimately advocating for-- a resistance could make their own drones. And frankly, the private sector is better at everything than government. There's also the availability of 3D printing on an individual level.
I hope never to see this happen. Despite my purchase of firearms last year, I pray never to have to point a gun at another human being. As stated earlier, I believe the only people who do want to fight the US Government are the radical Left. As patriots, we love America even when we don't love or trust our government.
With luck and hard work, we may never to come to those conclusions. And perhaps in a few years, the sitting President will have the good sense not to suggest that nuclear weapons might be employed against our own people.
