This is 47

I’ve decided to take a self-portrait every year on my birthday, to not the passage of time.

I am now officially in my late forties. My oldest friend asked me how I feel about it. The truth is… I don’t know.

After a few banner years, my 46th was… difficult. But it was educational. I saw some people for who they were, and I am the better for it. Sometimes you have to go through these things. Even at an advanced age, there are still necessary lessons.

The truth is that I feel tired. I have so much to do. So much I need to accomplish. And the sands are running out on the hourglass. Its a bit overwhelming.

And yet I can’t just give up. I can’t stop.

Here’s to year 47. I hope to find a little joy in this trip around the sun.
