October Blog: Day 3

Great news! I got more than hour of sleep last night! Granted, it was only 4 hours, but after not sleeping for more than 3 days, it was a nice change of pace.

I had a doctor’s appointment today. I should stop being contagious in the next day or so and I’ll be free to go back to work after Wednesday. I’m still having breathing problems, but most of the other issues have subsided or lessened considerably.

I’m still having a rough start to Sober October. I caught myself talking about politics for a minute this morning and had to stop. I have kept up with the daily exercise, though it’s only 10 sit-ups a day. I’m still not making productive use of my time. These blog posts have all been last minute. I haven’t done any reading. The most I did today was some research on a few topics that have been sitting in my to-do list for a while.

Even today’s photo-a-day challenge was last minute.

I decided to play with my Rotolight Neo 3. I have an old Halloween mask of Iron Man that’s been sitting around in my room for years. I thought it would be fun to try and make it look like an actual lit up Iron Man helmet, as if were on automatic.

The mask itself was pretty beaten to begin with, so using light and shadow helped to sell the story. I also edited it to make it look more warn than it already had been. I’d be lying if I said the finished image looked real, but I do think it was a good effort for something I just through together in 5 minutes.
